Shreveport teacher accused of harming student in classroom

A teacher at Green Oaks High School was arrested today for simple battery of a student.

48-year old Alvin Wallace, of Shreveport, is accused of physically removing a 15-year-old student from his classroom on March 6. The girl was reportedly disturbing class, and Wallace asked her to leave his classroom. He then forcefully removed her from the class, causing her to fall against a classroom door on the opposite side of the hallway.

Wallace was booked into Caddo Correctional Center. His bond was set at $1,500.
