Shreveport Police arrest man for aggravated rape, domestic battery
Shreveport Police have arrested a local man following an investigation into the reported sexual assault of an infant child.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. this morning, patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 1800 block of Ashton Street relative to a sexual assault. Upon arrival there, officers contacted an adult female who advised them she awoke this morning and found a known male suspect sexually assaulting her one year old daughter. The complainant told officers that when she attempted to intervene and stop the attack, the suspect, identified as 26 year old Jonathan Greene, struck her several times causing minor injuries to her face. Greene was taken into custody by responding officers.
Detectives were immediately notified and began their investigation. Based on information gathered during the course of their inquiry, investigators charged Jonathan Greene, of the 1900 block of Doris Street in Shreveport, with one count of aggravated rape and one count of domestic abuse battery. Greene was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
The infant was transported to a local hospital for examination. Child Protective Services was notified as well.
