Shreveport man behind bars for firing shots during argument

Police detectives have arrested a Shreveport man who allegedly fired shots in a residential neighborhood Thursday night.

At around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers were called to a report of gun shots at a house in the 7500 block of University Drive. Upon arrival, they found 53-year old Gregory Dawson had apparently been in some kind of dispute with family members. During the argument, Dawson allegedly fired several shots. At least two of those shots went through a window. No one was injured.

Officers took Dawson into custody and notified detectives.

Dawson was booked inot the Shreveport City Jail on one count of illegal use of a weapon.
