Shreveport man arrested after residence was struck by gunfire

A local man has been arrested after reportedly firing shots into a residence that was occupied by his girlfriend and their one year old child.

At approximately 2:02 p.m. on June 03, 2011, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a call from the victim relative to gunshots being fired into her residence located in the 6600 block of Quilen Boulevard. The caller advised dispatchers that a male suspect known to her was outside banging on her door demanding her to come outside. The male, after being denied access to the residence, fired at least four shots into the residence. No persons inside the residence were injured. Upon arrival, quick responding officers were able to locate and detain the suspect attempting to leave the scene. The weapon used in the incident was recovered on scene.

Officers booked the suspect, identified as 19 year old Corwin White, of the 6600 block of Quilen Boulevard in Shreveport, into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of aggravated criminal damage to property.
