Shreveport gunman fails to rob gutsy ATM customer

SHREVEPORT - A gunman is on the loose after allegedly trying to rob a man at a local ATM.

It happened this morning when when a customer using the ATM at the Capitol One Bank branch, located at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Hillary Huckaby Drive, was approached by another man.

According to Shreveport police, the gunman ordered the customer to “empty out his account”. However, the customer tackled the suspect, wrestling the gun away from him. The gunman then ran from the scene.

No description of the gunman has been released outside of him being an African-American male.

No injuries were reported.

Police are investigating and have  video of the crime.
