SHREVEPORT --- For the third time in as many days a grass fire erupted on I-220, between Jefferson Paige Rd. and Lakeshore Dr., this time around 12:30 p.m.

Shreveport city fire units and those from Fire District 2 fought the grass and woods fire together for over an hour, as traffic on I-220 westbound slowed to a crawl as fire units battle the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
