Shreveport authorities reveal identity of man killed in weekend shooting

Authorities have released the name of a man found shot to death in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood Sunday.

At around 6:48 a.m. , Shreveport officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Holly Street to a dead person. Upon arrival, patrolmen contacted a witness who reported he was walking on Holly Street, just north of East Washington Street, when he observed what appeared to be a man face down in a wooded area. Officers found 24-year old Anthony Crain and discovered he had been shot multiple times.

Detectives are working to identify and catch the suspect(s) responsible for Crain's death. Anyone with any information regarding the murder of Anthony Crain is urged to call Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
