The Bossier City Police Department will close a portion of the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway on Saturday, beginning at approximately 1 p.m. to accommodate a trail ride for the National Black Rodeo Finals.
The trail ride will start from the CenturyTel Center and proceed north on the ART Parkway to McDade Street then u-turn and head south on the ART Parkway back to the CenturyTel Center.
During the trail ride, Bossier City police will close all lanes of traffic on the Parkway from Reeves Marine Drive to McDade Street. During this time motorists are advised to use Barksdale Boulevard as an alternate route.
The closed portions of the Parkway will gradually re-open as the riders make their way along the route. The trail ride is expected to conclude no later than 5 p.m.
The National Black Rodeo Finals will take place later that evening at the CenturyTel Center beginning at 8 p.m.
