Police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect they believe shot a local man during a dispute earlier this week in west Shreveport.

Investigators issued a warrant Thursday afternoon charging 17-year-old Lonnie Johnson, of Shreveport, with one count of aggravated battery in connection with the shooting of 23-year-old Antonio Walker back on May 21, in the 3800 block of Jackson Street.

Walker, who was shot once in the ankle, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Detectives believe Johnson and Walker, who know each other, were involved in a dispute over money, when Johnson pulled a gun and shot at Walker multiple times.

Johnson’s bond has been set at $75,000.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Lonnie Johnson is urged to call Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
