Three Shreveport men are behind bars following what investigators are calling a drug deal gone bad.

At around 11:53 a.m. on Thursday, Shreveport police were called to the 1200 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway to reports of an armed robbery. When they arrived, a man had apparently tried to rob two men of a substantial amount of marijuana.

Authorities tell KMSS 21-year old Phillip Bowman ordered three ounces of marijuana from 30-year old Quintaveous Robinson. When the men met in a parking lot on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway to conduct their deal, Bowman pulled a pellet gun and tried to rob Robinson. However, Robinson refused to with the would-be bandit’s demands and told him he had something for him, at which time Bowman took off running on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers found and arrested Bowman, Robinson, and another man, identified as 41-year old James Price III, who was allegedly with Robinson at the time of the incident.

Detectives seized two pellet guns, about 78 grams of marijuana and eight bars of Xanax.

Bowman was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count each of second offense possession of marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute a narcotic.

Robinson was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count each of distribution of a narcotic and possession with the intent to distribute a narcotic.

Price was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count each of distribution of a narcotic and possession with the intent to distribute a narcotic.
