A Shreveport man has been arrested a man in connection with a Tuesday evening shooting.
The shooting happened shortly after 6 p.m. in the 2700 block of Randolph Street.
Shreveport police patrol officers were dispatched to Randolph Street in reference to a man that had been shot. Officers later learned 18-year old Andrew McCall of Shreveport was wounded after he was shot by another man who had left the scene.
McCall’s injuries were considered moderate. Detectives were notified and responded to the hospital, at which time McCall was able to tell detectives who was responsible for shooting him.
With the information provided by McCall and the evidence recovered at the scene, police were able to locate and arrest 19-year old Santana Powell. Powell denied any involvement in the shooting.
Powell was charged with one count of attempted second degree murder and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
