Mother accused of injuring baby after throwing him through car window
A Shreveport mother is in jail after allegedly throwing her baby through a car window on Saturday.
Police tell KMSS the child's mother, 29-year old Carmen Paul, and father, Felthon Hall, were arguing about money at around 11:30 a.m. when it happened.
Hall claims Paul threw their 10-month old through his car window, hitting the child's head on the car's metal frame. Hall, who was sitting inside the car, was able to catch the baby as he was thrown through the window. Paul left the scene following the incident.
The child was later taken to a local hospital by Hall. A medical evaluation by doctors revealed the child suffered a fractured skull accompanied with bleeding on the brain. The baby is currently in stable condition.
The mother was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of second degree cruelty to a juvenile.
Child Protection workers were notified of the incident.
