Police looking for shooter
Police detectives are investigating an early morning shooting that claimed the life of a local man.
Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 2000 block of Milam Street at approximately 3:27 a.m. Wednesday morning to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Gary Morgan sitting in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The Shreveport Fire Department transported Morgan to a local hospital where he was later died.
Detectives and crime scene investigators were immediately dispatched to the scene and are still working at this time to determine who is responsible for the shooting death of Gary Morgan. Shell casings were recovered at the crime scene and the vehicle the victim was sitting in has been processed for any potential evidence.
