Police have arrested a male suspect after he allegedly attacked another man with a screwdriver last night in Shreveport's Stoner Hill neighborhood.

At approximately 9:11 p.m. on June 20, 2011, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Easy Street relative to a stabbing. Upon arrival there, officers discovered 40 year old Robert Prather suffering from a laceration to the head and a puncture wound to the right forearm. Prather was transported to a local hospital by the Shreveport Fire Department with what were described as minor injuries.

Responding officers learned that Prather was accosted by a known male, identified as 51 year old Billy Spiller, as part of what has been described as an ongoing dispute between the two men. Spiller, of the 1600 block of Easy Street in Shreveport, was taken into custody a short time later and detectives subsequently charged him with one count of aggravated battery. Spiller was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
