Man arrested for alleged rape
Shreveport Police detectives have arrested a local man wanted for aggravated rape.
On July 17, 2010, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of Madison Avenue relative to a reported rape. Upon arrival there, officers contacted an adult female victim who reported that she had been raped in the 1600 block of Patzman Street by a male suspect known to her. Detectives were notified and learned that the victim accepted a ride from the suspect and he drove her to the 1600 block of Patzman Street where he subsequently sexually assaulted her.
Investigators were able to obtain a warrant on July 23, 2010 for the arrest of the suspect, identified as 56 year old Willie B. Evans, charging him with one count of aggravated rape. Detectives arrested Evans later that same day at his home in the 1400 block of Creswell Avenue. Evans was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of aggravated rape.
