Local man arrested for breaking into a vehicle

SHREVEPORT- The Shreveport Police have arrested a local man for breaking into a vehicle.

 Shreveport Police Officer James Tilley was on routine patrol in the 6000 block of Line Avenue Monday afternoon when he saw 18- year- old Jerron Bell riding a bicycle, and carrying two bags over his shoulder.

Officer Tilley arrested the 18-year-old and discovered he had an Apple Ipad, an Apple Ipod, and a very expensive piece of medical equipment concealed in his bags.

Upon further investigation, Tilley learned the items had been stolen from a vehicle that had been burglarized in the 700 block of Erie Street earlier that morning.

Bell was arrested and taken to the Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple burglary, and one count of illegal possession of stolen things.

The case is under investigation.
