Shreveport Police detectives need your help in locating a teenage girl who has apparently run away from home.

On May 11, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 2700 block of Parkridge Street relative to a runaway teenager. Upon arrival, officers contacted the child’s mother who advised them her 17 year old daughter, Zakiyyah Anderson, left their home there with her boyfriend and has not been seen or heard from since.

Zakiyyah is described as a black female, about five feet six inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. At this point in their investigation, detectives do not believe she has been the victim of any foul play but they are, however, concerned for her well-being and want to get her back home safely. Anyone who has any information regarding Zakiyyah Anderson or her whereabouts is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-7020 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
