A fire gutted a house about two miles from the Port of Shreveport-Bossier Thursday night.

The blaze was put out in about 20 minutes, but not before one fireman received minor burns on his neck.

Fire officials say the structure of the home made putting the fire out more difficult than usual.

No one was home when the house caught fire.

Officials have not yet determined the cause.
