A Shreveport home is saved by firefighters, but not before extensive smoke and fire damage was done to the inside.

Fire officials first received a report of the blaze, located in the 1300 block of Glenn Oak Place, at around 11 a.m. When firefighters arrived, smoke was billowing from the house.

Officials say people were inside at the time of the fire, but escaped without injury; no firefighters were injured.

A total of 12 fire units responded to the fire before it was extinguished. The cause is unknown.
