Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says that the fire that started yesterday around Lake Bistineau that damaged some lake property and caused damage to one home was not the result of burning trash.
According to the South Bossier Fire District and the Bossier Sheriff’s Office investigators, there was no evidence at the scene that a fire was intentionally set for any purpose.
At this time, the cause of the fire is undetermined.
Had investigators found proof that the fire was set intentionally, the fire starter would have been fined.
As a reminder, the statewide burn ban is still in effect.
