Over crowding at the Caddo Correctional Center is becoming a costly problem.
The length of stay for male inmates increased 10% since last year.
Increased stay combined with the price of bookings going up even more, are making things tough for prison officials.
Inmates are sleeping three to a cell, which is intended only for two.
The sheriff's office says they hope the measure will fix the problem, because they do not want to pass on the cost to tax payers.
