Haughton man caught taping teen girls in bathroom

Haughton Police Department arrested a local man Sunday afternoon when police officers discovered he placed video cameras in a bathroom used by teenage girls over the weekend.

Paul E. Holmes, 55, of the 700 block of Opal Circle in Haughton, was charged with video voyeurism when police officers learned he had positioned video cameras in one the bathrooms of his house that was used by teenage girls during a sleepover as part of a local church youth activity. When one of the girls was in the bathroom, she noticed a camera, told her parents, who then provided the information to the Haughton Police Department. When questioned by police, Holmes admitted that he owned the video cameras that were placed in the bathroom that the girls were using.

Haughton Police Department continues the investigation, and cameras and other pieces of evidence have been seized and are being analyzed to determine if additional charges are forthcoming.

Holmes was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility to booking, and his bond is set at $50,000.
