Four suspects are behind bars this evening accused of breaking into a residence in Shreveport’s Western Hills neighborhood this morning.
At approximately 11:10 a.m. on April 5, 2012, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Gorton Road in reference to a residential burglary in progress.
Upon arrival there, officers observed multiple suspects inside the residence. The suspects were originally spotted by a watchful neighbor as they made entry into the residence by kicking in a back door.
Once inside the residence, the suspects removed televisions along with firearms. When the suspects observed police, they fled in different directions on foot.
All four suspects were captured following a brief foot chase. Two of the suspects that were arrested were juveniles. The two other suspects were identified as 17 year old Albert Manigo of the 2900 block of Lindholm Street in Shreveport and 20 year old Katryle Bryant, of the 3900 block of Golf Links Boulevard in Shreveport. Manigo was charged with one count of aggravated burglary and booked into the Shreveport City Jail. Bryant was charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of minors and aggravated burglary.
Bryant was also booked in on an outstanding warrant for domestic abuse battery. The two juvenile offenders were booked in the Caddo Juvenile Detention center on charges of aggravated burglary. The property stolen in the burglary was recovered and released to the home owner.
