Detectives working to identify burglar

Shreveport Police are investigating the burglary of a tobacco shop in north Shreveport.

At approximately 3:37 a.m. on November 24, 2010, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to the Discount Tobacco Outlet located in the 3100 block of North Market Street relative to an alarm call. Upon arrival there, officers discovered that an unknown suspect had apparently busted a hole in the back wall of the building and entered the business. Once inside, the suspect stole over $1,500 worth of cigarettes and then fled the scene of the crime prior to officer arrival.

Detectives were notified and immediately began their investigation. They are now releasing surveillance video of the suspect in hopes that someone will be able to identify him. At time code 03:17:04, a male suspect can be seen looking directly into one of the surveillance cameras.
