SHREVEPORT - Residents in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Shreveport say they feel ignored with the recent railroad crossing closures.
City officials recently decided to close three crossings in Shreveport in exchange for opening a new one into the Shreve Industrial Park.
They say it will help the local economy, but local residents think differently. and say it's a huge inconvenience and are frustrated with the lack of communication.
Officials say they are closing the crossings down because law requires them to do so, if they want to open a new one.
Mayor Cedric Glover will meet Friday night with affected residents.
