Bossier City police are asking the public for help with identifying a woman who is believed to be involved with at least two other suspects in a string of ongoing vehicle burglaries in Bossier City. The suspect was caught on security camera video attempting to make a purchase Tuesday morning with a stolen credit card that was taken in a vehicle burglary that same day. The video was taken at the Krogers food store in the 800 block of Benton Road. The credit card was stolen during a vehicle burglary that happened earlier that day in the Heart of Bossier Shopping Center parking lot on Old Minden Road. The suspect left the store after the card was declined since the victim immediately notified her bank of the theft. The suspect is believed to be with two other suspects, a white male and a black male, in a white Saturn Outlook. They are all suspected of committing dozens of vehicle burglaries that have occurred in Bossier City, Bossier Parish and Shreveport over the past several weeks. In most cases the suspects broke out windows in the vehicles and took purses that were left in plain sight by the victims. As in preventing any vehicle burglary, Bossier City police advise residents not to leave valuables inside their parked vehicles even when they are locked.
The suspect in the video is a white woman with dirty blonde hair worn in a pony tail. She was wearing blue jeans and a brown sweatshirt with “VANS” on the front. Anyone who can help identify her or has information about these recent vehicle burglaries is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100 or detectives at (318) 741-8665. They can also submit a web or text tip via www.bossiercrimestoppers.com. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to a $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
