Several Bossier city firefighters will pickup construction tools tomorrow to save taxpayers thousands of dollars.
They will begin work framing a storage building at the Bossier City Public Safety Training Complex as part of an expansion project.
Many of the firefighters are also construction workers, and their labor for the project will save taxpayers an estimated $20,000.
The framing work is just one of a few cost saving jobs Bossier City firefighters are conducting. Other projects include fence replacement at two fire stations and work to clear brush from the site of a proposed fire station.
These projects, including the work on the training center storage room, will save an estimated $30,000.
