A Bossier City man is in jail after trying to pimp a 14-year old girl.

Bossier Parish deputies arrested 46-year old Dennis W. Martin for contacting a teen via an online chat room in order to have sex with her, then pimp her to other men.

Martin started contacting what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl in a social networking chat room in late March. Over a period of two weeks, he explicitly described sexual acts and asked to meet her for sex, although the ‘girl’ with whom he was chatting was really an undercover agent. He also sent a sexually explicit video of himself to the girl.

Martin also offered to be her pimp to help make money by selling herself to older men, and even asked her if any of her friends would be interested in doing the same thing.

The undercover agent agreed to meet Martin on April 5 not far from where he lived to have sex with her. When he showed up ready for sex, Martin was met with members of the Bossier Sheriff’s Department and Bossier City Marshal’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and taken into custody.

Martin was charged with trafficking of children for sexual purposes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor, indecent behavior with juveniles and obscenity and taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility. His bond was set at $180,000.
