The political race for senator of Louisiana is starting to heat up.

Old time Louisiana politics are starting to roll with the David Vitter statement over the weekend.

Republican U.S. Senator Vitter is accusing Democrats of bankrolling GOP opponet Chet Traylor and that it's a ploy by Vitter's Democratic opponent Charlie Melancon.

Both Traylor and Melancon's campaign aides have called the claims simply ridiculous.

Voting for the GOP primary with Traylor and Vitter takes place later this month on Saturday, August 28.
