Authorities find missing Rocky Mount woman dead

Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Rocky Mount woman who went missing Wednesday afternoon has been found deceased about 11:50 a.m. today not far from her residence on Fire Tower Road in north Bossier.

Valai Lynn, 66, was located in a brush area near the 800 block of Fire Tower Road following a late night and morning search by various law enforcement agencies, including the Bossier Sheriff’s Department, Bossier City Fire Department, Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Louisiana State Police and Bossier Parish Fire District Three.

Although there are no signs of foul play, Bossier Sheriff’s detectives will continue the investigation.

Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Rocky Mount woman is missing, and we need your help in locating her.

Valai Lynn, 66, (who goes by “Sue”) was last seen near the 700 block of Fire Tower Road in Rocky Mount. She is described as an Asian female, about 5 feet, 2 inches, and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She has long black hair and brown eyes. She is possibly wearing a pair of shorts and white tennis shoes.

Lynn cannot communicate well following a recent stroke. She takes a number of medications for various ailments and walks with a cane, so she has trouble getting around.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Lynn is urged to contact the Bossier Sheriff’s Department as soon as possible at 965-2203.
