Argument over dog ends in gunfire

A Shreveport man was grazed in the head by a bullet when an argument turned violent Friday afternoon.

Melvin Patterson, 31, was allegedly in an argument, with a man he knows,  over a dog on the 1500 block of Belwood Street, according to police. The man Patterson was arguing with pulled out a handgun and started to fire.

Patterson ran away, and when he realized he was injured, he drove himself to the hospital with a minor injury.
