Annual 9/11 ceremony this Saturday

The annual memorial ceremony in remembrance of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks will take place Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Liberty Garden located at the Bossier City Municipal Complex between the Bossier City Police and Fire Departments, 620 Benton Road.

The event is sponsored by Keep Bossier Beautiful and will feature keynote remarks from Bossier City Marshal Johnny Wyatt. Bossier City Mayor Lorenz Walker will be master of ceremonies for the event with Fire Chief Sammy Halphen providing the Pledge of Allegiance and singing of the National Anthem. The public is welcome to attend.

The event will also commemorate the placement of 3000 United States Flags in front of the Bossier City Municipal Complex in honor of those who lost their lives in 9/11 attacks. The flags will be on display on the south side of POW-MIA Boulevard near the intersection of the complex service road.
