Alleged robber surrenders to police
A Caddo Parish man wanted in connection with the robbery of a west Shreveport convenience store late last week has surrendered to authorities.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on September 30, 2010, 20 year old Larry Mack surrendered himself to officers at the Shreveport Police Complex. Mack, of the 10200 block of Locke Road in Keithville, Louisiana, was subsequently booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of principal to armed robbery. His bond was set at $75,000.
Back on September 24, 2010, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Phillips 66 store in the 6800 block of Buncombe Road. A witness told officers that two male suspects, one of whom was armed with a small semi-automatic handgun, entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. The suspects went behind the counter, took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene of the crime. No one was injured in the robbery.
Investigators are working at this time to positively identify the second suspect and are asking anyone who might have any information regarding this robbery to call Shreveport Police Detective Cpl. Shawn Parker at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
