A Shreveport woman was stabbed early this morning at an apartment complex in north Shreveport.
Police say it happened at around 1 a.m. at the University Oaks Apartments in the 4700 block of Hilry Huckaby Drive.
Officers were called to a local hospital's emergency room reports of the stabbing. When they arrived, officials found 20-year old Sh'courtney Hall suffering from multiple stab wounds. Hall told them she had been stabbed during a fight.
Investigators later learned 12 to 14 people armed with bats and guns had gone to the apartment complex to fight with 21-year old Ricquea George.
George, who was at her residence at the time, was confronted by Hall and others. A fight ensued, and Hall initially punched George in the face.
Authorities believe George stabbed Hall in self-defense. Hall was then taken to a hopsital by an aquaintance.
Roughly one hour later, a second group of at least two people who knew Hall returned to the apartment complex in retaliation. George, who was still at her residence notified authorities after the group began smashing windows out of a vehicle belonging to a family member. The unidentified duo fled the scene before officer arrived.
Following medical treatment, Hall was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of simple battery.
