43 tickets issued at Bossier City checkpoint
The Bossier City Police Department set up a safety checkpoint in the 100 block of John Wesley Boulevard Tuesday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Officers checked a total of 291 vehicles and issued 29 tickets for no seat belt and 5 tickets to drivers who did not have children in car seats. Officers also wrote 9 tickets for other violations.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant distributed through the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
