Shreveport Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left a local woman nursing a wounded arm this afternoon.
At approximately 3:02 p.m. Wednesday, Shreveport police patrol officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Clover Street to a shooting. Upon arrival there, officers located an adult female victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the left arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital by the Shreveport Fire Department with what has been described as a non-life-threatening wound.
Detectives have learned that the victim was standing in a yard on Clover Street when two male suspects apparently opened fire in that block. Investigators do not believe the female was an intended target, but she was struck in the arm nevertheless. Detectives were able to develop two suspects and have now obtained arrest warrants for the men.
Authorities are looking for 20-year-old Jeremy Rainey, of the 1300 block of Lawhon Street in Shreveport, and 21-year-old Donald Ray King, of the 1800 block of Doris Street in Shreveport, on one count each of illegal use of a weapon. Their bond is set at $150,000 a piece. Both men should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Jeremy Rainey or Donald Ray King is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
