Monday, December 10, 2012 - 4:17pm

Graduation for the Caddo Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary Deputy Program will be at 6 p.m. tonight at Sheriff’s Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Ave.

Eight deputies will be sworn in by Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator after completing 57 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours on patrol with a line deputy.

Auxiliary deputies supplement full-time Caddo deputies by volunteering their services to the Sheriff’s Office and community in a non-enforcement capacity. Auxiliary deputies have contirbuted nearly 17,000 hours this year by assisting road deputies, conducting neighborhood patrols, participating in Community Programs, and more.
