Bossier City, La — Bossier City Chief of Police Shane McWilliams has terminated the employment of a police officer.

Chief McWilliams fired Russell Engi on Monday following an investigation based on a complaint made from within the Police Department.

Upon being notified of the internal complaint, Chief McWilliams directed the Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division to immediately begin an investigation. As a result of that investigation, Chief McWilliams fired Engi for violating department policy and procedures.

Engi had been a member of the Bossier City Police Department since 2007.
