Bossier bridge to be replaced

Monday, December 31, 2012 - 6:04pm

Residents in Bossier City will have something to be thankful for 2013 but in return could soon see some major detours in the area.

The dogwood road bridge is getting replaced in the upcoming year. This is due to problems over the past years.

Officials expect the closure will last up to one year, leaving dozens of residents to find another way home. Replacing the bridge will be a state funded project and will be covered under the statewide bridge replacement program.

Bellevue road will most likely serve as the detour route for residents in the area
