Shreveport, La — A weekend shooting has left a Dallas Texas man recovering from minor injuries as a result of a weekend shooting in Shreveport.
Just after 8:00 p.m. last night, Shreveport Police officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Doris Street. On officers arrival there, they made contact with the victim Donald King of Dallas Texas, who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the back. King, who was transported to LSUHSC with what was described as non-life threatening injuries, was reluctant to provide authorities with much insight on the shooting.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives and crime scene personnel arrived on the scene and began their investigation. From what authorities were able to gather, King was allegedly in the Stoner Hill neighborhood when he reported to officers that a group of male subjects began chasing his vehicle. King advised that once he arrived near the intersection of Ockley and St.Vincent Avenue, one of the suspects fired at his car striking him once. King was able to drive his vehicle to the 1500 block of Doris Street where he contacted authorities.
